What I Do With Time

Posted by Shelly Holder

No, no time-travel. And no, I don't improve either. But I do with time what all people do with time--

I Twitter.

No seriously, you should think about it.

I'm a verbose prose-r. I know this. We all know this. So the fact that I am consistently limited to 140 characters means, five or six times an hours, I EDIT THE HELL OUTTA MYSELF.

A unique experience, that. But, edifying. In a completely, utterly "holy blankity-blank blank blank I hate this"sort of way.

Yes. Edifying.

So I think you should join me. We can lurk around the edges of lit mags, and send late night messages to authors great than ourselves. We can whine about our day, and since no follows us anyways, no one knows what you say. Which means, that user over there, the one in the ratty beret with tacky dangling modifiers? WE CAN TOTALLY TALK ABOUT HIM AND HE'LL NEVER EVEN KNOW.

The dark side, we haz it. And, you know, cookies. Maybe you should think about it.

HIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

I know I haven't 'zactly been like the bestest most faithful blogger like ever, but I swear I'm getting around to it. Someday. Maybe. *shifty eyes* You know, when I have time. Or something.

ANYWAYSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

I thought in lieu of my stellar intellectually mind blowing posts of satirical and satorical wonder, I would give you this!

LINKY!!

For my new story out! WHEEEEEEEEEE!

IMPORTANT EDIT:

Sometimes I'm a dingbat. This story was NOT published. It was put up on Dr. Hurley's Snake-Oil Cure literary mag's along with other contestants. This was NOT the winning entry. Sorry guys. All fault lies with me. But enjoy anyways. =)

I Can't Think, I'm Travelling!

Posted by Shelly Holder

(off key) On the rooooad again! Something something music and my friends, so I can't wait to get on the road again! (don't be jealous of my fabulous voice. It's okay, I know you want it.)
I"M AT THE SDSU WRITERS CONFERENCE IN SAN DIEGO!!! WHOOOO!

There are a lot of interesing YA panels, which makes me happy. And I'm looking forward to the two keynote speakers, James Scott Bell and Robert Walter. I am NOT looking forward to the keynote speech times. Why 8:30 am? JUST WHY?!? *faceplant*

But I shall suffer gracefully. Because there is free hotel breakfast. Also, martyrs go down in history. Gotta make a name for myself. Or, say, live up to the title of this blog. You know. Either or.

So I will be back with my adventures (or misadventures) on Monday. Let's hope the coffee stays in my cup and the ink on the paper. I brought nice clothes for this weekend, and I wanna keep them that way.

On the other hand, I am literally across the road from a mall. I can see Macy's from my balconey. There may be something to be said in favor of certain kinds of carnage. =)
